Do I need any electrical background to take this course?

No. It starts at load auditing, which is arithmetic on a spec sheet. By Module 5 you're reading wire and breaker ratings well enough to sanity-check a quote — not designing panel internals from scratch.

Does this replace a licensed electrician or installer?

No. It teaches you to size, specify and check a system — the design layer. Physically connecting mains-voltage equipment is a separate skill, and whether you're allowed to do it yourself depends entirely on your local code and your own comfort level.

I'm in Europe — is this written for the US market?
